Wednesday July 1st 2009
Delia Michif entry in Drumheller Parade.
Thursday, July 2, 2009:
* Some of our people arrive and set up camp,
* The musicians and traders arrive during the day
* Public is invited to watch Tipi’s and tent set up.
* Some demonstrations and sports , Dancers perform in camp
* Evening meal campfire, bring your own food. Campfire music.
Friday, July 3rd,
* 10 a.m. Flag raising ceremony and camp blessing
* 2 p.m. Tipi set up demonstration, flint and steel fire lighting
* 3 p.m. Black powder demonstrations
* The Métis musicians & Dancers perform in camp during day & at Community hall after meal.
* 6.p.m. Jam session on Friday night meal available.
* Food available in town, possible vendor at camp Craft tables and genealogy are available.
Saturday, July 4th,
* 8:00 to 10:00 A.M. Breakfast in Community Hall,
* 10 a.m. Tipi set up demonstration flint and steel fire lighting
* 11 a.m. Grand Entry, Official opening, including Veterans and Dignitaries.
* Lunch available in Village Café’s or vendors.
* 2 p.m. A talk by authors Terry & George Goulet.
* Games and competitions and lessons can be found over the site. 1 p.m. on
* 4:00 p.m. Black powder demonstrations.
* 6.p.m. Dance on Saturday night meal available, 50/50 Draw and Raffle tickets available
* The Métis musicians & Dancers perform during the day on campgrounds at Community Hall after supper
Sunday, July 5th,
* 8 to 10 a.m. The Masters of Bannock Breakfast at Community Hall
* 10.30 a.m. Church services after Breakfast. at St Patrick’s Church.
* 12 p.m. Beef/Buffalo Aztec Chile, on a bun Lunch Community Hall. Music and dancers perform & dance instruction.
* 4.00 p.m. Closing ceremonies at campgrounds
